You are welcome to PhD student course at the Estonian University of Life Sciences which takes place in September this year. The course, titled “Biomarkers, sensors and physiology”, will focus on farm animal physiology and biomarkers. The course will cover topics such as the application of biomarkers in livestock, blood and milk parameters as biomarkers, sensors used for the assessment of welfare and health status in livestock, as well as biomarkers enabling the evaluation of fertility and inflammatory responses.
The course will take place from the 24 – 27th of September in Tartu, Estonia.
Several highly cited key speakers have confirmed their presents M. Hostens, J. Gross, T. Kaart, T. Orro and so on.
The course is intended for PhD students having a background in animal science, veterinary medicine, biological sciences or related fields.

The students have to prepare an abstract concerning their own research studies and present the matter at the course. Active participation in discussions is also appreciated. An abstract should be sent to the course organizers together with the registration form.
The course is offered in the frames of Graduate School in Biomedicine and Biotechnology. The course will be held in Estonia, Tartu, at the University of Life Sciences (Eesti Maaülikool). For students the course, the course materials, lunches and coffee breaks are free. The students have to find finances for travelling and accommodation.
